The National chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator
Ali Modu-Sheriff, on Monday declared
that nothing would stop the party
from winning Anambra governorship seat in November.
Sheriff spoke in Enugu while addressing PDP stakeholders from across the 21 local government Areas of the state.
He stated that the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, was not in
any way supposed to win election in Anambra as it was entirely a PDP
State.
While reading a 2-point resolution after the meeting, Sheriff
disclosed that the warring factions in Anambra had accepted to work
together.
“Having observed the misfortune of the PDP in Anambra, we agreed to
set up a reconciliation committee to bring the warring factions
together.
“I agree with you people that the problem of the party in Anambra was caused by those in the Wadata House.
“It was, therefore, agreed that having being variously accused of
substituting names, only genuine delegates who emanate from the ward
will be accepted and used for subsequent elections.
“These motiuons were seconded and voted unanimously.
“Anambra must be won by the PDP; we must win Anambra; we must at all
cost win Anambra; by the grace of Allah, we shall win Anambra come
November this year”, declared.
